There's always a feeling of something wonderful to be found down in [ Hermosa Beach ]
so it doesn't surprise me at all, that this is where our story would begin...

  I sat in the window sill with a bowl of breakfast cereal,
when Chris Stussi & I met for the first time.

 "Dude, can you give me a lift
to San Luis Obispo?"

Funny, only inside a hostel environment would a question
like that be considered a "normal" question - especially taking
into fact that San Luis Obispo was 4hrs away.

  
  It was a hot Saturday afternoon (St. Patrick's Day) & I had absolutely nothing on my agenda.  Seeing that the drive
was only four hours away, I figured I'd be back in time to party with my friends in Hermosa Beach.  Somehow, it took
us a whopping 1½ days just to get there!  Sometimes, even I underestimate the power of The Hype. -Geo D. Oliver, Alaska
