It was a Friday night
& my energy level was pretty high. I was with AussieDave &
The USAhostels Group
in
Hollywood, when these 4 strange retro styling guys came into the game
room. One of the band members looked
at me & introduced himself as Jay Gordon of the band, The Crosswalk
- his enthusiasm was pretty high.

The
thought of watching them perform, didn't
spark an interest in me, until this real cute flower girl
(Amber) asked me if I wanted 2 go
with her 2 see
the band perform at The Musicians Institute.
"I was not equipped with
any
kinds of photo gear, so it
was not as
if she knew I was a photographer."

So, how ironic is that? The
night I take a break from The PHOTOhype Project, I am quickly reminded that being
a photographer means that 'The
Shot' is always there. To be out in the field without a camera in hand, is just another
missed
opportunity in my attempts of capturing the Emmy award winning shot.
Inside,
Amber got me into the $20 gig (Black Friday),
pass the guards & backstage where the
buffet line was. It was all good & delicious! I piled
both of my plates up high.
Showtime! The Crosswalk took center stage & their
own photographer emerged from the darkness. My trigger
finger was itching 2 shoot
something, so I ran out 2 my car 2 break out The PHOTOhype. I didn't want 2 reign
on
their photographers' parade, so I just sat in my chair & practiced on my club shots...
