I didn't shoot that much @ The OBI Hostel, but I talked a lot & even got drunk a few times.  That back patio at the hostel was more like a TV show titled: After Hours @ The OBI.  I believe it was during this time that I became a backpacker.

To me, these photographs (which were e-mailed to me) represent my OBI experience, which was my hostel life that was powered by the backpackers & the stories that will last forever. -GEOhype, Alaska

PHOTO ABOVE: Me & some travellers drinking up a storm on the back patio.  Sorry, I don't remember everybody's name, but I do remember what country they were from - England, Norway, Wales & The USA!

PHOTO RIGHT: Magnus Andersson of Sweden, Matt Pigott of Australia & me, upside down.

Both of these guys came to the hostel with their wives & it surprised me that they were so cool.  I actually  hung out with them & their wives instead of the single party hard travellers @ The OBI. Magnus, Ulrica (his beautiful & strong minded wife) & I had a few good nights in Stockholm, Sweden (August, to003).  Hopefully, when I get to the land Down Under, I'll pay Matt & Emma a visit as well as give Matt his 5 Aussie dollars back.

PHOTO ABOVE: Venke & I in Hollywood.  Venke was the 1st person from "my life" that I introduced to my mother - we had dinner together.  I'll never forget the 2½ weeks I spent with Venke or our times in San Diego, Los Angeles & San Francisco.  It's funny how some people just make you feel good.
