| Am incredibly gutted as I just wrote you a huge email and
lost the bloody lot! I am in the peninsular Valdes where there are whales, orcas, sealions, elephant seals and penguins! I finally saw one after all that time going through New Zealand trying to spot one! encountered most of these creatures at close hand and it was fantastic. I´ll write more later as I cannot be bothered ot write EVERYTHING again! one thing though, if anyone has the lemon jelly CD or has heard the song about the patagonian male elephant seals will know what I am talking about when I say they made the strangest sounds and that everything he says is so true! I was just laughing thinking about it the whole time. met a lovely german couple and english couple who I had dinner with last night, we got through three bottles of wine and enough tapas to keep us all happy, when the bill came it was 27 pesos!!! thats like 6 pounds!!! for everyone! bring on more wine thats what I say! anyway, I´m heading for bariloche tonight, a lovely little mountain village in the Andes backing a huge lake and a national park. I´m not totally equipped for this cold though and might have to go shopping! the obnly thing is I havet o watch my cash now as this town has actually run outt of money believe it or not, the german guy went to the ATM and they couldnt gove any cash out, nowhere is accepting or changing travellers cheques or dollars and instead all the banks are issuing ´creditos´, small bits of paper with an amount equivalent to what you want written on it! crazy business, in one day last week the dollar was valued at 2.6 pesos int he morning and then 3 in the evening, people are trying to buy dollars with their money in the banks and then sell those dollars in the evening thus making themselves some easy cash but the banks are freezing everyones accounts and limiting the cash they can take out! no one knows where they are from one day to the next! those of you that havent heard from mike, the last I heard he was in thailand working his andrews magic with the thai ladies and having an israeli girl hanging on his every word.
