Hello Geo,

I feel so honoured that I too am in the goggle brigade, because I too have in my collection a pair
of goggles, but I have to say they were not bought in Venice & they were purchased 2 years ago when they
were a big thing down here.  Well, I have to say The Hype in Hermosa is much more than down here
in little ol' Perth.  The other day, I was walking around in historic Fremantle, when...

"I came upon a hostel.  I was so
excited, I just had to go in & pretend
that I was in some far off land..."

I saw a guy crashed out in front of the telly (TV)
in all his tired travel glory.  I felt the surge of tears for the
memories of such familiar sights of a big night out in some
foreign land.  However, these tears were not of sadness, but
from the overwhelming smell that appeared to come from
his feet or shoes or both that lay ceremonially at
the end of the bum abused couch.

"All the wonderful mixes of smells, people & furniture in a hostel life..."

All this came flooding back when I walked past that hostel in Fremantle.  I almost had an urge to test the showers
or maybe the toilets & blend in for awhile, just to imagine that I was travelling again...  However, I was feeling very hungry
& knew that mum had cooked a roast for dinner & my double bed & home entertainment system awaited me at home.
