Youth Hostel in Ljubljana, Slovenia is a very special one, because it is a
former prison transformed into a youth hostel. More than 80 Slovene
& foreign artists joined the transformation process. |
| They
projected a visual transformation, but also a contextual transformation of
the prison as a place of torture & death to a youth hostel - gallery
as a place of light & life. Last
year, the City of Ljubljana & the Student organization of the
University of Ljubljana, inaugurated Celica Youth Hostel. The
name, Celica, derives from the 20 special rooms we have
on the |

floor of The Celica Hostel, which are individually unique artistically designed former prison cells.
